Ingredients
- 1/8 cup sprouted moong dal
- 1/8 cup sprouted black chana
- 2 cups water
- 1 lb bag of frozen tater tots
Spices
- ½ tsp red chili powder
- ½ tsp turmeric
- ½ tsp coriander powder
- ½ tsp cumin powder
- ½ tsp salt
Garnish
- ¾ cup cilantro; chopped
- ½ cup sour cream mixed with ¼ cup water
- ¼ cup tamarind chutney
- ¼ cup cilantro chutney
- ½ cup fine sev (crunchy chickpea noodles)
- ¼ cup red onion; finely chopped
- ¼ cup tomato; diced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425℉
- Spread frozen tater tots on glass pyrex pan or baking pan. Cook for 15-20 minutes or until crispy
- Heat medium saucepan to medium-high heat, add dahl, chana, red chili powder, coriander, turmeric, and cumin powder. Boil for 15 minutes. Add salt, mix, drain, and set aside
- Layer the dish accordingly from bottom to top: tater tots, chana, dal, sour cream, tomato, red onion, tamarind chutney, cilantro chutney, cilantro, and topped with lots of sev
